I have always believed that a strong musical education provides students of all ages with cultural and historical understanding, a special means of expression, and the ability to understand and empathize with every human being through music. Growing up, I was aware not many had the privilege to study with private teachers or to even have music programs at their schools. I am passionate and believe in creating a positive musical experience that is accessible to all students, especially for those from traditionally underrepresented communities. Being able to speak two languages has helped me reach those communities and create a wonderful experience to those students.

Through music/flute lessons, I set a goal to equip each individual student with authentic artistry, creativity, balance, and of course fun! As a mentor in their lives, I spend a portion of every lesson to discuss my students’ progress in their professional and personal goals. I do my absolute best to provide

constructive feedback, advice, and assets from my own years of flute performance.  I not only teach the things I know, but, I teach the things I am learning, and the things I personally struggle with. If a student has a challenge, I will take that as an opportunity to take on that challenge as if it were my own and either I will have a solution at first glance or I will do my absolute best to find one. I share my passion for music, sound, and expression, as it has and continues to exist in my own journey of learning and playing the flute. I strive to provide a safe, positive, nurturing and welcoming environment for my students to learn. My goal is for my students to feel motivated and inspired to learn about classical music and the music in pop culture that makes them happy. I want them to reach their personal best and for them to always be evolving and aspiring to become better. The most satisfying moments of teaching is watching students grow, not only as musicians but as individuals going out into the world and sharing their love for music to others.
